Virginia would have been 18 when this journal was started. A much more adult and normal ‘diary’ than the 1927 journal, this one chronicles daily activities, hikes, the weather and the life of a teenager not in the best of health. It’s also revealing in that very few references to the opposite sex show up. For Virginia, life was about Nature!
