Wisconsin – The Door County Clearing School and northern Wisconsin
October 11, 2015The door county Clearing School and central Northern Wisconsin
Although Virginia lived her entire life in Springfield Illinois, her passions and interests often took her north. Wisconsin’s sandy spruce and pine forests centered around Eagle River as well as the rocky Door County area were often visited, often several times a year. What she found here in these conifer forests was an ecosystem very different than that of home in Illinois. These were passionate adventures for her, and gave rise to traveling confidence later when she began river passages on work boats.
