This beautiful porftolio of paintings and text was created in 1948 as a gift. With a two-year old son sporting a broken leg and full cast, high-school student Richard Lottridge traveled with the Eiferts from Illinois to Wisconsin. As a thank-you for his services, this handmade book and the”Land of the Loon” notebook journal were created and presented to him by Virginia. Richard calls this “the best gift I ever received”.
